Master detection requires using three different methods together:
Layer 1: Visual
Physical appearance and features
Layer 2: Third Eye
Supernatural detection ability
Layer 3: Behavioral
Actions, speech, and patterns
What to check with your eyes before using Third Eye:
Facial Features
- All features present? (eyes, nose, mouth)
- Features in correct positions?
- Normal proportions and spacing?
- Skin texture looks human?
Body Structure
- Correct number of limbs (2 arms, 2 legs)?
- Normal body proportions?
- Joints bend correctly?
- Height seems reasonable?
Colors & Clothing
- Skin tone within normal range?
- Hair color natural or dyed (not neon/glowing)?
- Clothing appropriate and normal colors?
- No glowing or pulsing effects?
Expert Tip: Scan from top to bottom: head first, then torso, then limbs. Many anomalies have normal upper bodies but wrong lower halves.
The Third Eye (Q key), also known as 'mata batin' (inner eye), is your supernatural detection tool. Master it to catch subtle anomalies. However, a crucial set of rules is presented, detailing how to interact with customers, specifically mentioning 'anomalies' and the importance of using a 'mata batin' ability, but with a stern warning against overuse.
Proper Usage Technique
- Complete visual scan first (save Third Eye for confirmation)
- Press and hold Q for 1-2 seconds maximum
- Look for green auras, distortions, or reveals
- Release Q immediately
- Wait 5-10 seconds before using again

Ignoring the warnings and misusing the 'mata batin' feature can instantly transform your character into a ghostly figure, signaling a shift in the game's reality. Using the 'mata batin' too often or incorrectly can lead to negative consequences, such as being 'cursed' or dragged into the 'demon world.' The game's core mechanic emphasizes that overuse can lead to becoming part of the 'Jinn Army' due to not following the rules.
What Third Eye Reveals
- Green Auras: Supernatural energy around jin entities
- Hidden Features: Extra eyes, mouths, appendages not visible normally
- True Forms: Reveals what entities actually look like
- Distortions: Reality glitches around powerful anomalies
The Green Meter Warning
Overusing Third Eye fills a green meter visible on screen. When full, you're transported to the Jin World (secret ending). Use sparingly if you want to avoid this.
When to Use Third Eye
- Customer looks almost normal but something feels off
- Behavioral red flags but visual looks clean
- Mid-to-late shift when anomaly rate is high
- You're unsure and don't want to guess
When NOT to Use Third Eye
- Obviously normal customers in early shift
- Clearly anomalous customers (faceless, wrong colors, etc.)
- You've used it 3+ times in the last minute
- Green meter is starting to fill
What customers do and say is as important as how they look.
Audio Cues
- Normal: Audible footsteps, natural voice, polite greeting
- Anomalous: Silent approach, distorted voice, no greeting
Request Analysis
- Normal: Standard menu items, reasonable requests
- Anomalous: Items not on menu, impossible requests, strange phrasing
Movement Patterns
- Normal: Smooth walking, natural gestures, appropriate eye contact
- Anomalous: Jerky movements, floating, unblinking stare
Use this systematic approach for each customer:
Pre-Arrival (2-3 seconds)
Listen for footsteps. No footsteps = likely anomaly.
Initial Visual (3-5 seconds)
Top-to-bottom scan. Check face, body, colors, proportions.
Greeting Phase (2-3 seconds)
Listen to how they greet you. Natural speech = good sign.
Request Phase (2-3 seconds)
What do they order? Standard menu item or something wrong?
Third Eye Check (1-2 seconds)
If anything seems off, activate Third Eye briefly to confirm.
Rule Cross-Check (2-3 seconds)
Do they violate any posted rules? Check your mental notes.
Decision (1 second)
Serve (E) if all checks passed. Refuse (R) if any check failed or you're uncertain.
Total Time: 15-20 seconds per customer. Thorough detection is more important than speed.
Nearly-Perfect Mimics
Look 99% normal. How to catch them:
- Check eye blink rate (too regular = anomaly)
- Watch for micro-glitches in movement
- Third Eye always reveals them
- Voice may have slight distortion
Repeat Visitors
Same person comes back multiple times:
- Always refuse second+ visits
- Each visit they may look slightly different
- Common mid-to-late shift
Jin Manifestations
Powerful spirit entities:
- Often have green aura visible with Third Eye
- May cause environmental changes (lights flicker, temperature drop)
- Can disguise as normal customers
- Trust your gut - if it feels wrong, refuse
